A WOMAN denied IVF treatment following the death of her twins has been overwhelmed with support since sharing her story.

Darlington woman Michaela Frame and a former partner were devastated when their beloved twins Gabriella and Isobella died within hours of their birth in 2012.

In a bid to heal the heartbreak, Ms Frame and her current partner Matty Wheeler decided to try for another child and approached the NHS for help with IVF treatment.

The couple were shocked to be told that they would not qualify for treatment because Ms Frame had had a child within the past three years despite the fact Isobella died at birth and Gabriella just seven hours later.

They have now been forced to turn to crowdfunding in their bid to raise 2,000 to pay for a cycle of IVF treatment.

After sharing their story with The Northern Echo, Ms Frame and Mr Wheeler were touched by an outpouring of support and a number of donations that have helped boost their fundraising efforts.

Ms Frame, 27, was also inundated with messages from families and women also struggling with fertility issues and baby loss.

She is now considering launching a support group to help those affected and has been offered free hire of a church hall to host it in.

Ms Frame said: We are overwhelmed with the supportive messages and donations weve had from family and friends and people weve never even met.

Everyones been sending their luck and love and Im hoping to be able to go ahead with a support group soon.
