Fertility Specialists of Texas is pleased to announce that Laboratory Director Dr. Carlos Guerrero, Ph.D., HCLD, ELD, has been named to the Latino American Whos Who Top 100 Latino Professionals list for 2014. The annual list recognizes the accomplishments of Latino men and women in the United States who have excelled in their field or industry through education, dedication and a vision toward the future.

As the Laboratory Director for Fertility Specialists of Texas, Dr. Guerrero oversees and is directly involved on a daily basis with the quality control/quality assurance and overall functioning of the Andrology, Endocrinology and Embryology Laboratories. His technical experience and scientific knowledge in the assisted reproduction laboratory have been recognized both locally and nationally. Dr. Guerrero is actively involved in research projects and has several publications in prestigious scientific journals. His current research interests include egg freezing for fertility preservation, blastocyst freezing, embryo growth and selection, blastocyst culture and male infertility.

Dr. Guerrero is originally from Colombia, South America. He is a graduate of Louisiana State University, where he received his Ph.D. degree in Reproductive Physiology with emphasis in Embryology. He is board certified in Human Clinical Andrology and Embryology and is a High Complexity Clinical Laboratory Director and In Vitro Fertilization Laboratory Director by the American Board of Bioanalysis. He is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and the American Association of Bioanalysts, as well as the Founder and President of the Dallas Embryologists Association.
