Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to an alarm Tuesday morning at Eastern Pharmacy in Ypsilanti Township.

Deputies discovered the glass entry doors to the pharmacy, 1159 E. Michigan Ave., had been shattered.

The suspect or suspects responsible also broke another set of glass doors to enter the pharmacy area around 6:30 a.m. According to the sheriff's office, further security measures at the pharmacy prevented access to the section that stored prescription drugs.

The pharmacy was then fled before deputies arrived to investigate. Nothing was stolen.

Deputies are also investigating a burglary that occurred sometime Monday night at the Augusta Pines golf course in the 7000 block of Willis Road in Augusta Township.

A suspect shattered a glass door at the Augusta Pines golf course with an unknown object and stole the cash register from inside, according to the sheriff's office. The cash register contained an unknown amount of cash.

Anyone with information about these burglaries is asked to call the sheriff's office through its confidential tip line, 734-973-7711, or Crime Stoppers, 1-800-SPEAKUP.
