Suspect sought in Santa Clarita pharmacy burglary

Authorities were asking for the publics help in identifying and tracking down a man they say stole prescription drugs and cash from a pharmacy in Santa Clarita.

Authorities said the man rode a motorcycle into the pharmacy's parking lot in the 27800 block of Smyth Drive on Sept. 3 about 1:15 a.m. and entered the building by using a pry tool to carefully remove the window pane from the front door.

The man took unidentified prescription drugs along with $25 in cash, authorities said.

Authorities described the suspect as 5-feet-8 to 5-feet-9, weighing 200 to 230 pounds, wearing a gray, long-sleeved hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black shoes and gloves, and possibly prescription glasses.

He carried a black backpack, authorities said.
