At the age of 19, PJ Allred is someone who defies expectations. He was born with cerebral palsy and has been meeting every challenge thrown his way since birth, and beating them. Doctors said he wouldn't live past the age of 6 months. He beat that. They said he'd never be able to walk. He blew that out of the water.Allred caught the attention of the Dream Factory after running a touchdown for Sedalia's Smith-Cotton High School football team. He and his family were treated to an amazing trip to Arrowhead Stadium to see a Kansas City Chiefs game.He got to meet his favorite players, including Patrick Mahomes. He got five-star treatment on the trip, but the biggest surprise was yet to come. The Hunt family, which owns the Chiefs, chipped in tickets to the Super Bowl for Allred. What makes the trip even sweeter is the fact Allred gets to see his Chiefs play in the title game. While faith wavered for some fans during a rough patch this fall, Allred and his family always believed they'd get to see the team play in the big game. In fact, the team has won every game since he was surprised with the tickets. "Nobody ever really thought that we were going to the Super Bowl without the Chiefs," said Tony Corpe, Allred's stepfather. "They made him their good luck charm and he's 6-0 so far, so we're just going to keep riding that wave." He lived out a dream when he scored his touchdown for Sedalia. He lived out a dream getting to meet his idols on the team. Now another dream is happening for Allred -- flying to Miami to watch the Chiefs in the Super Bowl, and defying all odds along the way.
