Capital Region Medical Center named one of nation’s top heart attack treatment hospitals – KOMU 8

JEFFERSON CITY - Capital Region Medical Center received some accolades this week for its treatment of heart attack patients.

In a press release, the hospital announced it received the American College of Cardiology NCDR Chest Pain - MI Registry Platinum Award, recognizing its "sustained achievement in the Chest Pain - MI Registry for two consecutive years and performance at the highest level for specific performance measures."

Chair of the NCDR Chest Pain - MI Registry Steering Subcommittee Dr. Michael C. Konto said the medical center has established itself as a leader in setting the national standard for improving care quality in patients with acute myocardial infarction.

"By meeting the award requirements set forth in the registry, Capital Region Medical Center has demonstrated a commitment to providing reliable, comprehensive treatment for heart attack patients based on current clinical guideline recommendations.

Capital Region Medical Center was one of only 140 other hospitals nationwide to receive this award.
