If AI Takes Over, What Will You Do? – Medium

Alright, so Im going to attempt to do something a little different this time since a lot of my articles have been upsetting people. I want to talk about what has become known as the AI revolution. Unless you have been living under a rock and just dont know whats going on, you might understand that AI (Artificial Intelligence) has bloomed and its starting to ROCK society in a way that is unprecedented.

In fact, I think that its one of those era-changing inventions, sort of like how the automobile changed society so much when the world previously used horses and carriages for THOUSANDS of years before. Or the way that the industrial revolution changed things. Or even the way that the Internet changed the world to such a high degree when it came out a little 30 years ago (1991). But Im thinking that AI is going to be so big that it might blow a lot of those other things out of the water! In fact, there is this idea called the singularity that has been out for a while that I actually suspect we may be coming upon. You may not know what the singularity is, so let me see if I can find a working definition.

The technological singularityor simply the singularity[1]is a hypothetical future point in time at which technological growth becomes uncontrollable and irreversible, resulting in unforeseeable consequences for human civilization.

So basically, its this idea that technology will get to a point where it begins to increase so rapidly that people cant keep up and that things will change at an unprecedented rate due to how technology will not only quickly develop, but would also be able to continue to quickly build upon itself!
