STILL A FEW YEARS OFF, BUT THE CAPE IS PREPPING FOR THE NEXT GENERATION OF SPACE TRAVEL. THE MASSIVE SPACEX STARSHIP SHIP IMPACT STUDIES AND HEARINGS HAVE ALREADY STARTED WESH 2S SPACE COAST BUREAU CHIEF SCOTT HEIDLER EXPLAINS WHERE WERE AT AND WHATS NEXT. FOR THE WORLDS MOST POWERFUL ROCKET WILL CALL THE CAPE. ITS OPERATION HOME. SPACEXS STARSHIP STILL IN ITS TESTING PHASE DOWN IN TEXAS, BUT ONCE IT BECOMES MISSION READY, ITS HOME WILL BE ON THE SPACE COAST. THE FAA HAS ALREADY STARTED THE PROCESS FOR AN ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STUDY, AND NEXT MONTH WILL HOLD TWO IN-PERSON OPEN HOUSES ON THE SPACE COAST AND ONE VIRTUAL. THIS HAS BEEN A PRETTY COMMON AS A FIRST STEP TO ALLOW EVERYBODY TO HAVE SOME INPUT INTO A NEW LAUNCH FACILITY IN THE PUBLIC HAS TO BE MADE AWARE OF THE RISKS THE THE ISSUES, THE, YOU KNOW, POTENTIAL EXPOSURE. SPACEX HAS ALREADY GONE THROUGH THIS FAA PROCESS DOWN IN TEXAS. SO THE PROCESS HERE WILL BE QUICKER THANKS TO LESSONS LEARNED. I THINK ITLL GO FAIRLY SMOOTHLY. YOU KNOW, THERE IS SORT OF A TRACK RECORD WITH WHAT SPACEX HAS LEARNED IN TEXAS WITH THEIR LAUNCH FACILITIES. THERE. AND SO THE FAA HAS AN UNDERSTANDING OF OF WHAT THIS VEHICLE IS. TWO LAUNCH COMPLEXES ARE NOW BEING DEVELOPED FOR THE MASSIVE LAUNCH VEHICLE, THE SUPER HEAVY BOOSTER, WITH STARSHIP ON TOP, STANDING 400FT TALL. THE OFFICIAL LINE FROM FROM ELON MUSK, IN A PRESENTATION HE GAVE BACK IN EARLY APRIL, WAS ABOUT A YEAR AWAY FROM HAVING A, UH, A LAUNCH OF STARSHIP FROM FLORIDA. I THINK THATS OPTIMISTIC. ONE LAUNCH SITE AT KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, THE OTHER AT THE CAPE CANAVERAL SPACE FORCE STATION, STILL MUST BE BUILT OR UPDATED. THE STARSHIP IS REALLY A GAME CHANGER, AND I THINK THAT IF WE SEE IT EVEN CLOSE TO BEING FULLY OPERATIONAL, WE WONT EVEN RECOGNIZE THE SPACE INDUSTRY AND THE DOMAIN OF SPACE AS WE EVEN SEE IT TODAY ON THE SPACE COAST. SCOTT HEIDLER WESH TWO NEWS. FOR DETAILS ON THOSE SPACE COAST MEETINGS ON JUNE 12TH AND 13, AND THE VIRTUA
