SpaceXs Starship is still in its testing phase down in Texas, but once its mission ready, itll move to the Space Coast.The FAA has started the process for an environmental impact study and next month will hold two in-person open houses on the Space Coast and one virtual event.This has been a pretty common first step to allow everybody to have some input into a new launch facility and the public has to be made aware of the risks, the issues, the potential exposure, explained Dr. Don Platt with Florida Tech.SpaceX has had to go through this FAA process for Starship down in Texas. So, the process in Florida will have a head start thanks to lessons already learned.I think that it will go fairly smoothly. There is sort of a track record with what SpaceX has learned in Texas with their launch facilities there. At any time during the meetings, the public will have the opportunity to provide verbal comments to a court reporter or written comments via a written comment form at one of several commenting stations.
