Segal Announces New National Pharmacy Benefits Practice Leader

Joseph A. LoCicero, President & CEO of The Segal Company has announced that Ritu Malhotra, PharmD, Vice President and Clinical Pharmacy Consultant, has been named National Pharmacy Benefits Practice Leader.

Mr. LoCicero said, As National Pharmacy Benefit Practice Leader, Ritus role is to be a thought leader on prescription drug benefit plan design, cost savings strategies, clinical management strategies, practice development and market trends. Her experience in integrating clinical knowledge into managed care settings has been especially effective for our clients. We are looking forward to her leading our PBM technical team and the Rx consulting group.

Dr. Malhotra will also support marketing and sales efforts and serve as the primary spokesperson on Rx- related matters. She will continue to work directly with clients on pharmacy benefit programs.

Dr. Malhotra holds a Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of the Sciences, Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, and a BA in Biology from Lehigh University (Bethlehem, PA). She is an active member of the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP).

Dr. Malhotra works out of the firms Chicago office and reports to Ed Kaplan, Senior Vice President and National Health Practice Leader.
