The New England Center for Children will be the topic of a free parent training program at The Children's Institute on Monday, Oct. 8. The lecture, "There is no Easy Answer to Stereotypy: A Comprehensive Approach to Treatment and Promoting Functional Skills," will be led by William H. Ahearn, director of research at The New England Center for Children.

Ahearn serves on the Autism Advisory Committees for the Association of Professional Behavior Analysts and the Cambridge Center for Behavioral Studies. His work has been published in various journals including the Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis and Journal of Autism and Developmental Disorders. Ahearn has written book chapters on teaching children with autism and pediatric feeding problems in autistic children.
The lecture is free and open to the public, but registration is required by calling 973-509-3050, ext. 281.
