CELL THERAPY FLORIDA with newer techniques and equipment, can easily obtain from a patient, activate, and transplant adult stem cells back to the patient by a simple office procedure done within the same day as part of the Stem Cell USA Program. The process of actively extracting, concentrating and administering these stem cells has been shown in clinical trials to have beneficial effects in degenerative and other conditions. Once injected, stem cells follow inflammatory signals from damaged tissues and have multiple ways of repairing these damaged areas. Studies have also shown that these are capable of homing to and secrete proteins and peptides that stimulate healing of damaged tissue. Adult stem cells isolated from fat tissue have the ability to become different cell types (i.e. nerve cells, liver cells, heart cells, and cartilage cells).

1. Harvesting: CELLMedix can collect adult stem cells from multiple sites of the body. For our Stem Cell USA Program we are limiting ourselves to the following:

A) From Adipose (fat) tissue. Adipose tissue contains the greatest number of stem cells yielding up to fifty times more stem cells than bone marrow. Each patients fat tissue is collected via mini-liposuction performed by an experienced physician in our own surgical suite under tumescent (local) anesthesia. The procedure typically takes less than an hour and the surgeon will determine the most appropriate location for the required fat tissue extraction. Some of the most frequently used areas are the commonly referred as love handles or abdomen. Most patients require little or no pain medication at all.

B) From Bone Marrow. By comparison, bone marrow extraction is longer and can fail to yield enough stem cells to actually stimulate therapeutic value. Extraction is done by aspirating through a small needle a small amount of bone marrow from the back of the patients pelvis. This aspirate contains mesenchymal stem cells, platelets, and other types of stem cells. Most therapies require only about 60cc of bone marrow aspirate. There is usually minimal discomfort with this procedure since the area is previously anesthetized with a local anesthetic. Bone marrow collection typically takes about 1.5 hours. Bone marrow collection is quite safe.

2. Isolating the stem cells. CELLMedix uses a method and protocol to extract, isolate, activate and implant the stem cells into the patient all within the same procedure, on the same day and within the same facility. We do not send the collected cells to any laboratory because we believe that a manipulation of these cells outside the body can alter their effectiveness and that a reproduction process outside the body could alter their genetic makeup, as well.

Disclaimer: Our therapies include autologous adult stem cells minimally manipulated only. Our treatments do not involve the use or manufacturing of any drug or food. Our treatments are not approved by the FDA (Food and Drugs Administration). Our treatments are not a substitute for proper medical diagnosis and care. The Stem Cell Treatments are not necessarily a treatment for any condition, disease or injury. The information we communicate in our web site is not medical advice. It is intended to be used for information and educational purposes only. Its important for you to do your own research based on the options that we present to you so that you can make an informed decision.

1. Will enough stem cells be obtained from adipose (fat) tissue and bone marrow or should the stem cells be cultured in a lab?

Culturing stem cells in a lab can dramatically reduce their effectiveness and there is strong evidence that culturing the cells can change its genetic make-up, possibly resulting in tumors. Also, culturing the cells makes the patient miss out on various growth factors and multipotential cells that are invaluable in the regeneration process.
