LETHBRIDGE HERALD

One of the more difficult challenges in researching new treatments for people living with multiple sclerosis has been the discovery of treatments for progressive forms of MS.

Over the past 15-20 years, several new treatments have been made available for the most common form of the disease relapsing-remitting but people living with progressive MS remain without any drug treatment options to help improve their quality of life.

The MS Society of Canada is committed to changing that, and those interested in learning about research in progressive MS can attend a public lecture entitled, Update on Treatment Trials in Progressive MS.

The keynote speaker will be Dr. Marcus Koch, MD, PhD, neurologist from the University of Calgary MS program.

The event is presented by the Lethbridge and District Chapter of the MS Society of Canada.

It will take place on Thursday at the Lethbridge Public Library, Theatre Gallery Room, from 7-8:30 p.m.
