Freddy Hazelwood is four-years-old and has cerebral palsy his family, have been raising money for more than a year for him to go to America and have his operation so that he can now walk.

A four-year-old boy with cerebral palsy took his first unaided steps after his family succeeded in raising almost 100,000 for a miracle operation.

Shelley Hazelwood, of Primrose Glen, Ardleigh Green, and her family travelled to America for her son Freddys operation, but she could not believe her eyes when she saw him walk unaccompanied by his walking frame, just hours after surgery.
