Adrian police catch suspect of CVS armed robberies

ADRIAN, MICH. -- Adrian police arrested a mansuspected intwo armed robberies of a CVS Pharmacy store on Friday.

Around 1 a.m.,the suspect attempted to rob the CVS Pharmacy on North Main Street at gunpoint. Police said the employee fled after the suspect took out a handgun, setting of an audible alarm.

The suspect fled the store and nothing was taken. Authoritiesthenobserved a subject running southbound on Kiwanis Trail, described as a "natural escape route" from the CVS. The subject was stopped and identified by the victim as the perpetrator of the robbery.

Additional evidence reveals the suspect was also responsible for an armed robbery on April 9. Police said $240 was taken from CVS by a masked suspect with a handgun.

The investigation into that incident continues, and the suspect in custody has not been charged with that crime at this time.
