Dr. Akinjero has earned distinction as a clinical assistant professor of medicine for the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California.

Leveraging more than a decade of excellence in internal medicine, critical care medicine, nephrology and critical care echocardiography, Dr. Akinjero has earned distinction as a clinical assistant professor of medicine for the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California. Since 2021, he has focused his efforts on serving as a physician within the hospital's intensive care unit, caring for critically ill patients and using his expertise to combat severe illnesses. Additionally, he is a valued member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine, the American Society of Echocardiography, the American Society of Nephrology and the American College of Physicians.

Dr. Akinjero began his career as a transitional intern with Obafemi Awolowo University in Nigeria and became a resident doctor of internal medicine there in 2011. He continued his career as a research fellow of molecular biology with the University of Utah in 2013 and became a resident physician for the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai's Englewood program in 2015. In 2018, he was a fellow in critical care medicine for Stony Brook University for three years.

Among his professional accomplishments, Dr. Akinjero won a research award and abstract award from the Society of Vascular Medicine. Added to these, he was honored with a Best Abstract Award from the National Cardiology Conference C3 Conference. He has also been cited in national guidelines supporting medical cannabis and has had a positive impact on legislation.

To prepare for his medical career, Dr. Akinjero earned a Doctor of Medicine from Obafemi Awolowo University in 2009, graduating in the top 1% of his class. Following this achievement, he attained a Master of Science in molecular and cellular biology from the University of Utah in 2015 and was a Doctor of Philosophy candidate there for molecular biology from 2013 until 2015.

Within the coming years, Dr. Akinjero intends to continue caring for patients while pursuing his research and creating scientific breakthroughs. He considers becoming a physician as his most significant accomplishment and feels honored to have the opportunity to contribute to helping others.
