The American Med Spa Association (AmSpa) in partnership with Institute for Laser Medicine (ILM), announce that they are launching an extensive laser training program designed to offer a flexible approach to classroom instruction and hands-on training on real clients. This two week program, taught by ILMs Rebecca Weston, compliments the aesthetic courses and two-day laser program being offered through AmSpa by True U Esthetics and True U Laser, another AmSpa partner.

According to ILM's Instructor Rebecca Weston, attendees will graduate with industry level competencies, conversational fluencies and a deep understanding of the equipment being used throughout the industry. During clinic training, attendees will run a schedule similar to the one of a Laser Technician to get an understanding of how to juggle their daily routine.

This wide-ranging laser program is another benefit that we are providing to our AmSpa members at discounted rates, said Alex Thiersch, Founder and Director of AmSpa. Our members now have access to an extended laser training class as well as another location where they can attend. For those unable to attend the first week of classroom theory in-person, they will be able to attend via online video (webinars). We think this is a great service for those who are limited on time but want the benefits of the lengthier course.

Instructor Rebecca Weston is the lead licensed Medical Aesthetician at Strella MedSpa in Spring House, Pennsylvania, where she brings over 10 years of experience working in medical spas, day spas, and doctors offices and has a special interest in anti-aging treatments and assisting clients suffering with acne. Through her extensive insight and perspective on the cosmetic/aesthetic industry, Rebecca is able to provide her students with thorough instruction.

The Institute for Laser Medicine is committed to teaching students the science and art of aesthetic skin care through an appropriate balance of didactic (classroom) instruction and hands-on training. The practical nature of their program ensures that graduates are well-suited for careers in med spas and physicians offices.

For the class schedule, more information or to schedule a tour of the facility, you can contact the Admissions Office of ILM at (215) 793-9999.
