BIRMINGHAM, Alabama --- Problem behaviors in those with autism will be the focus of a lecture Wednesday by expert Dr. Gregory Hanley.
Hanley will use actual case examples of sleep problems and meltdowns to discuss analysis and treatment of problem behaviors in the latest scientific context.
The lecture, "Specific Solutions for Some Extraordinary Problem Behavior Associated with Autism," is free and open to the public.
The lecture followed by a question-and-answer session will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Alumni Auditorium at UAB's Hill Center.
It is the 9th annual Glenwood Endowed Lecture Series presented by the UAB School of Public Health.
Hanley is an associate professor of psychology and director of the Behavior Analysis Doctoral Program at Western New England College. He is a past associate editor of the Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis.
