Autism United is a privately run community that offers support and assistance to families affected by autism. Diagnoses have risen to 1 in 88 children with the number still growing steadily. As the cause remains unknown, AutismUnited.org focuses on support through community.

Autism, as a condition, is still subject to widespread misunderstanding, and a diagnosis can be challenging, upsetting and hard to understand. We know how hard an autism diagnosis can be on a family, with a myriad of treatment options to consider and a veritable avalanche of information presenting itself to parents and families.
We aim to help those suffering from autism, and their friends and families, to navigate their condition, to provide support and advice for each other, and to advocate for a greater awareness of autism and its unique challenges in the wider community. AutismUnited.org is a vibrant community-driven website, and we are glad to link families to advice, blog posts, product reviews, information, community and assistance.
We offer an online shop with products that cater to families dealing with autism. One of our most popular merchants is TOMS Shoes and Eyewear, a responsible company with a message of sustainability and social responsibility. We also pass on discount codes and special offers, many of which are especially relevant to autism families.
We also link those affected by autism with information and solutions through our blog. The Autism United blog features topics that are of special interest to families affected by autism. Many of our articles and blog posts were written by people who are themselves parents of autistic children.
Did you know that a simple visit to a mall Santa at Christmas time can be an extremely stressful event for autistic children, their siblings and their parents? This month, Autism United is happy to assist parents across the United States connect with a "sensitive Santa" in their city or region.
We have an ongoing series of monthly posts featuring "sensory-friendly films", movies that are more suitable for children with autism and sensory processing disorders. Navigating life while caring for a child with autism can be a bewildering and frustrating experience; these helpful blog posts are one way of passing on to others what works for us.
We at Autism United also feel that it is important to provide a range of reference materials about the autism spectrum disorder. The staff of Autism United is honored to work with various autism experts, early childhood educators, experienced parents and doctors to produce a range of reference materials that are helpful and clear.
Many families feel that they are "set adrift" or "helpless" when faced with a new autism diagnosis for their children, especially when they receive incomplete or unclear information from doctors or educators. With our reference materials and friendly community, many of your questions will be answered.
