Biology students at City College pursue Bachelors and Masters of Science degrees. The PHD is offered jointly by the City University of New York and City College, with areas of specialization in cell and molecular biology, neurobiology, and ecology and evolutionary biology.

Resource Center The Resource center of the Department of Biology (MR 502) maintains a wide variety of reference materials for students use in conjunction with many of the undergraduate courses. Instructors will inform students as to the availability of materials available for their course. The faculty is open Monday through Friday 9:30am-5pm.

Tutoring

Special tutoring service are available to those students needing help in biology. Students seeking to avail themselves of such services are directed to the Division of Science Advising Center(CCAP) located in the Administration office on the first floor of the Marshak Building, Room 108.

Imaging complex

The Imaging Complex houses a transmission electron microscope, a scanning electron microscope, a con focal microscope, a digital darkroom, a complete support faculty for tissue preparation. In addition to its use in several courses, the facility supports faculty and students research in many aspects of cellular biology.
