Brave cerebral palsy sufferer Ben Baddeley will get surgery to help him walk properly thanks to generous Mirror readers.

Ben, nine, was facing life in a wheelchair because Tory cuts meant his treatment was cancelled.

But after his plight was highlighted in the Mirror his mum Amy, 29, and dad Gary, 37, have now raised enough to pay for his first life-changing op.

Amy said: How can I say thank you for buying my son a decent life?

"Words are not enough.

Ben was lined up to have dorsal rhizotomy treatment at Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham on the NHS after bravely teaching himself to walk with a special tricycle.

He had 18 months of physiotherapy before the op was cancelled because NHS England had pulled funding.
