Cardiology clinics added to two health centers

PLATTSBURGH Monthly cardiology services have been added to services atElizabethtown Community Hospital andInter-Lakes Health in Ticonderoga throughCVPH Medical Centers Heart Center.

Cardiologist Dr. Seema Lodha sees patients at ECH, while Dr. Brent Hastings, also a cardiologist, provides care at Inter-Lakes.

CVPH and Inter-Lakes are also partnering to provide echocardiogram services, a press release from CVPH said.

CVPH Medical Center,an affiliate of Fletcher Allen Partners,was recently recognized by Healthgrades as one of Americas 100 Best Hospitals for Cardiac Care, the release said.

The cardiologists offering these clinics are members of this elite cardiac team.

The cardiology clinics, the release said, meet a goal of Fletcher Allen Partners to work together to maximize quality of programs across the system.

These clinics provide needed care to North Country communities, while reducing patient travel and ultimately enhancing their health, explained CVPH President and CEO Stephens Mundy in the release.

The efforts to create this regional system are beginning to take hold.

That is an aim, too, of Elizabethtown Community Hospital.

The hospital is committed to ensuring that residents of, and visitors to, the local area have access to care both primary care physicians and specialists, Administrator and CEO Rod Boula said in the release.
