'Grey's Anatomy': Relive Cristina and Meredith's Best Moments (Video)
Posted: Published on December 18th, 2014
With only two episodes remaining before Sandra Oh's Cristina Yang exits Grey's Anatomy for good, ABC is taking viewers down memory lane. With a new retrospective, experience the first time Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) called Yang her "person" as well as all the poignant and fun times the duo have shared over the course of 10 seasons. PHOTOS: 'Grey's Anatomy' Cast, Creators Say Farewell to Sandra Oh Included in the clip, which is set to Train's fitting song "This Ain't Goodbye," are the duo establishing their shorthand, 30-second dance parties, the amazing moment when Yang loses her eyebrows on the day of her failed wedding to Burke as well as moments where they helped one another through the hardest times in their lives -- including the plane crash and Mer's near drowning death. "You are my person, you will always be my person," Yang says in the vintage clip. PHOTOS: 'Grey's Anatomy's' Famous Departures Last week's episode ended with Cristina likely informing Mer of her plan to move to Zurich to take over Burke's independently financed hospital. Check out or recap of Cristina's potential exit plan here. And visit our Farewell to Sandra Oh gallery here to see what the cast … Continue reading

Shonda Rhimes To Receive WGA Wests 2015 Paddy Chayefsky Laurel Award For TV
Posted: Published on December 18th, 2014
Prolific television writer-producer Shonda Rhimes (Greys Anatomy, Scandal, How To Get Away With Murder), will receive the Writers Guild of America, Wests 2015 Paddy Chayefsky Laurel Award for Television Writing Achievement, honoring lifetime achievement in outstanding television writing. Rhimes contributions to entertainment will be recognized at the upcoming 2015 Writers Guild Awards West Coast ceremony to be held on Saturday, February 14 at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in LA. Few writers in television have had the impact on the medium that Shonda Rhimes has. Her ability to create, consistently, television that is, at once, excellent, provocative and crowd-pleasing is almost the least of it. She is a breaker of barriers. On screen, she has taken us places that were previously off limits, giving voice to characters who had been voiceless and tackling issues and touching nerves without fear. Off screen, she has been a mentor to a generation of writers some of whom are women, some of whom are writers of color all of whom will look to her as a pioneer in a business that is now more diverse and more vibrant because she played her part. She is, in every way, the embodiment of the qualities that … Continue reading

'Grey's Anatomy': Should Cristina and Owen End Up Together?
Posted: Published on December 17th, 2014
ABC/Kelsey McNeal "Grey's Anatomy" [Warning: This story contains spoilers from Thursday's "Do You Know" episode of Grey's Anatomy.] ABC's Grey's Anatomy offered not one but two glimpses into what Cristina (Sandra Oh) and Owen's (Kevin McKidd) future may look like during Thursday's "Sliding Doors"-style hour. Inspired by a case in which a paralyzed man is given the choice to live or die, Cristina envisions her future in three different scenarios. In the first, Cristina -- who over 10 seasons has remained steadfast in her desire to not have children -- makes a sacrifice for Owen to remarry and start a family. The second sees Cris put career first, while the third leaves the future open for both of them as the long-running medical drama continues to ponder the beloved couple's future. PHOTOS: The Couples of Shondaland: 'Grey's Anatomy,' 'Private Practice,' 'Scandal' As the first option plays out, Cris winds up sacrificing her career to raise a family and see Owen happy as a clam while she's pregnant with her second child and completely miserable. Worse, she's presenting the Harper Avery Award to Shane, her former intern whom she let take the lead on her research. She's most focused on motherhood … Continue reading

Anatomy of a bank robbery mix-up: Dauphin County provides dispatch records for Harrisburg heist
Posted: Published on December 17th, 2014
HARRISBURG- A woman who saw the Fulton Bank getting robbed Monday afternoon in downtown Harrisburg called 911 to tell police. She told Dauphin County police dispatchers that the heist occurred on North Third Street. When asked if it was 1429 North Third, the caller agreed. But the crime the woman had witnessed actually occurred at 200 N. Third Street. That was the mix-up that led Capitol police officers to zero in on a man as a possible suspect, who happened to be innocent and the son of Harrisburg City Council President Wanda Williams. Dauphin County officials provided a sequence of events to better explain how the misidentification occurred. The mishap resulted in officers being sent to Williams' house, which angered her. She also said she didn't think her son matched the description of the robber. The sequence of events began at 12:48 p.m., when police got their first 911 call about the holdup at 200 N. Third St. The robber was described as a black man, in his early 20s, 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a stocky build wearing a black or gray hooded shirt and a red bandana over his face. Two minutes later, the bank's alarm company … Continue reading

'Grey's Anatomy': Cristina's Exit Plan Revealed?
Posted: Published on December 16th, 2014
ABC/Eric McCandless "Grey's Anatomy's" Kevin McKidd and Sandra Oh [WARNING: This story contains spoilers from Thursday's "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" episode of Grey's Anatomy.] ABC's Grey's Anatomy seemingly formalized Dr. Cristina Yang and Sandra Oh's exit plan during Thursday's hour. After leaving Oh's beloved Dr. Cristina Yang at the altar during the season three finale, Isaiah Washington's Dr. Preston Burke returned to the Shonda Rhimes medical drama with an offer his ex may not be able to refuse. PHOTOS: 'Grey's Anatomy' Cast, Creators Say Farewell to Sandra Oh Following her Harper Avery award snub, Cristina will, it seems, be moving to Zurich to take over Burke's practice so her former mentor can spend more time with his family. It's a move that would make total sense for Cris, who despite a marriage-divorce-reunion with Owen (Kevin McKidd), has always considered her career to be her true love in life. With the hospital staff still reeling from her loss of the Harper Avery award, Cris winds up traveling to Zurich -- which had been calling the hospital multiple times a week begging to have Yang present her conduit findings there -- and bumping into Burke, who is seated in … Continue reading
