The creative director of NFK Photography breaks down her incredible style The creative director of NFK Photography breaks down her incredible style. Find out all the challenges she faces in dressing her body type and which rules, from her fashion rulebook, she always abides by Understanding your body is the key to looking good and a trait found amongst all impeccably dressed fashionistas. While people shy away from talking about their bodies, these brave souls explain how they work their anatomies to their advantage How would you describe your body type? Small framed. Has your body type changed over the last five years? My body has seen the biggest changes over the last five years; from thin, to pregnant, to a squishy mom-body. My post-baby body is definitely a challenge to dress sometimes. Even though I am close to being back to my pre-baby weight, the pounds are all in different places, which means I have to adjust the way I dress. In your opinion what is your most troublesome area? Even at my fittest I have always had a tummy. Now, after a c-section it has definitely become my biggest trouble spot! How has your style changed over the … Continue reading

'Grey's Anatomy' Could Have Been a Totally Different Show – BuddyTV – BuddyTV (blog)

Can you imagine turning on ABC on a Thursday night and not seeing Meredith Grey in Seattle saving lives and breaking hearts? Well that was almost the case. In fact, the widely popular medical drama wasn't even originally supposed to be called Grey's Anatomy. Find out all the secrets you probably never knew about Shonda Rhimes' hit below. Should Grey's Anatomy Fans Be Worried for the Season 13 Finale?>>> According to Elle, Shonda Rhimes' online Masterclass in television writing offered lots of insight into the writer-producer's original vision for the show and how those changed into what we see every Thursday now. For one thing, the original name of the show was Surgeons, which sounds more like a boring medical documentary that would definitely not have the viewership that Grey's does. As if that's not enough, the show almost didn't even take place in Seattle. Rhimes originally envisioned her drama in either Boston, Philadelphia or New York City. "This is not a small town life," she wrote. "Big city, big medical center, big surgical opportunities." And can you imagine Grey's Anatomy without Dr. Alex Karev? Though he's been a central character for 13 seasons now, the character was only added … Continue reading

MALCOLM HOPWOOD Last updated05:30, April 29 2017 N/A New Zealand's own Martin Henderson stars as Dr Nathan Riggs in Grey's Anatomy. "I could bring a whitebait fritter?" asks Dr Nathan Riggs. With that he disappears. It was a great opening line from Grey's Anatomy newcomer but he was gone, only to turn up at a housewarming minus the West Coast delicacy. I watched Grey's Anatomy (TV2, Tuesdays) purely to see how Martin Henderson replaced Dr McDreamy. It was all very strange. As Dr Riggs, he attended the dinner party, sat on the couch, was treated as if he was infectious and received instructions not to date Dr Maggie. When she suggested dinner, he delivered the line "I'm not ready to date anyone, right now". READ MORE: *How Grey's Anatomy star Jesse Williams dominated the BET Awards *Martin Henderson discusses being Grey Anatomy's new McHunky *Sara Ramirez as Dr Callie Torres clocks out of Grey's Anatomy What Martin is doing on Grey's Anatomy, a series beyond its used by date, is mysterious. Probably he's earning a pay cheque while he sorts his career out. Meanwhile, can someone freeze a kilo of whitebait and send it to him so he can do … Continue reading

The anatomy of Harjit Sajjan's Afghanistan operation apology – Macleans.ca
Posted: Published on April 29th, 2017
Defence Minister Harjit Sajjan speaks during a conference on foreign affairs in Ottawa on Friday, Jan. 29, 2016. (Sean Kilpatrick/CP) A day before he backtracked from his false claim that he was the architect of Operation Medusa, one of the biggest and most dangerous missions of the war in Afghanistan, Minister of National Defence Harjit Sajjan inexplicably and stubbornly stood by them in a correspondence with me. What happened over the last five days might be called the anatomy of an apology. The controversy stems from an April 18 speech the Minister delivered at Conflict Prevention and Peacekeeping in a Changing World, a conference in New Delhi, India. On my first deployment to Kandahar in 2006, the Minister said, I was the architect of Operation Medusa where we removed 1,500 Taliban fighters off the battlefield and I was proudly on the main assault. It was an odd comment. Though Sajjan was a veteran of the 2006 operation, he was in no way the key planner. That role is typically credited to retired Major General David Fraser, then the commander of the Multinational Brigade for Regional Command South, and the man who organized and led Operation Medusa. On Monday, April 24, … Continue reading

Grey's Anatomy Recap: A Can of Worms – Vulture
Posted: Published on April 29th, 2017
Ellen Pompeo as Meredith, Martin Henderson as Riggs. Photo: Mitch Haaseth/ABC Dont Stop Me Now Season 13 Episode 21 Editor's Rating 3 stars Worms, you guys. So many worms. Yes, much more emotional stuff went down in Dont Stop Me Now, but attention must be paid to those worms. You know what? If a gut full of worms puts gross-out aficionado Richard Webber in his happy place, we should allow it. That guy needs to spend a little time in his happy place! The worms arrive at Grey Sloan Memorial via a very unsuspecting and very lovestruck young lady named Mary. She and her boyfriend, Dennis, are in lurve. Like, barf-inducing love. Stephanies eye rolls are all of our eye rolls. Dennis promises to be there through anything. Well, except for that time when April rushes into the room, having just pulled a worm out of the puke Mary spat all over Aprils hair, and they all realize Mary has a big ol belly full of worms. Dennis wont be there through that. He is disgusted. We all are. Bailey, however, thinks that since Richard is in a lovely worm-induced happiness, it would be the perfect time for her to … Continue reading

Scam Alert: Anatomy Of A Scam – Caledonian Record

A recent headline in the Berkshire Eagle (Pittsfield, MA) read Police: Man took 120-mile Uber ride to rob Lenox woman. Break-ins, robberies, and abductions sadly are crimes we see on the increase throughout the region, but most do not evolve out of telephone scams. This time it did. The situation developed over a matter of months from a routine telephone scam. The victim, an elderly woman in Lenox, Massachusetts, received a number of calls from a New York man living outside New York City. In trying to scam $1500, his calls began with a promised payment of $3 million but over time turned into a frightening threat. In late February, the alleged criminal hired an Uber driver to take him to Lenox where he forced his way into her home and had her drive to her Pittsfield, MA, bank for money. Alert bank employees notified police and the man was arrested before he could do further harm. The incident raises a number of questions does this scenario occur frequently? Arent scamming telephone calls one shot efforts? Do con artists have access to my personal information? What can I do if I think someone is trying to scam me? There is … Continue reading

BALTIMORE -- To heck with the math. According to the math, and the experts who like to use it to crunch numbers and make projections, the Baltimore Orioles weren't supposed to be very good this season. According to the math, they were supposed to win anywhere from not a lot of games to slightly more than not a lot of games. According to the math, they were supposed to be an afterthought in the AL Beast. Instead, they have the best record in the Son of Senior Circuit. Are the O's a mirage? Maybe. After all, we're only at the one-eighth mark (is that even a thing?). Not to mention, their ho-hum run differential (plus-9) suggests they should be barely above .500 (a Pythagorean 11-9 record). Then again, the same thing happened last season too, when Buck Showalter's club parlayed a surprisingly hot start all the way to the postseason. Regardless, you don't jump out to a 14-6 start without the ball bouncing your way more often than not. You don't have a month like this without a little help from Lady Luck. By beating Tampa Bay 5-4 in 11 innings on Wednesday, the first-place Birds improved to 6-1 in … Continue reading

Anatomy Of A Growing Threat: North Korea's Evolving Brinkmanship – Fox News
Posted: Published on April 27th, 2017
Associated Press, FOX NEWS SEOUL, South Korea North Korea observers have long marveled at the ability of a small, impoverished, autocratic nation to go toe-to-toe with the world's superpowers. Part of the secret to North Korean success has always been the ruling Kim family's mastery of the art of brinkmanship. What looks to outsiders like bluster, bombast and recklessness is actually a proven technique that over the years has won North Korea grudging respect from Washington and its allies, and at times filled its coffers with aid offered by rivals relieved to see animosity on the Korean Peninsula ease. In recent weeks, however, the roles may have reversed, with a new administration in Washington bulldozing its way to the brink before finally backing away. Korean war jitters made global headlines after U.S. President Donald Trump issued repeated, ambiguous warnings about his willingness to take unilateral action and sent U.S. military vessels to Korean waters. This week, however, Trump announced a much softer policy that combines diplomacy and economic sanctions and is strikingly similar to what frustrated past presidents embraced. North Korea used to employ a comparable method: Forcing the world to pay attention by staging nuclear and missile tests, issuing … Continue reading
