Grey's Anatomy recap: 'In the Air Tonight' – EW.com
Posted: Published on April 14th, 2017
In real life, getting on a plane is a normal, fairly risk-free thing to do. OnGreys Anatomy, getting on a plane is like playing Russian roulette and somehow, Meredith always gets the loaded chamber. This time around, shes flying to a conference and ends up sitting next to Riggs, who she didnt know was also going to the conference. This is a bad shock to Grey, but a pleasant surprise to Riggs: He quickly points out that theyre about to have three days alone together without anyone around (or rather, anything theyknow around) to bother them and get in their way. It sounds pretty nice. Meredith, though, is busy acting like theyre over. She tells Riggs she wants some alone time and then goes to the bathroom where he also goes, thinking she made inviting eyes at him. She didnt. But now hes there and shes there and, well, airplane bathrooms are very, very small. At first, theres some more back-and-forth. Meredith tells him shes simply ignoring her feelings toward him, partly because she doesnt want to hurt Maggie. He responds that Maggie isnt there, and somehow, that kinda works. Hes about to leave, realizing that Meredith is serious when she … Continue reading

*13 Reasons Why* and *Grey's Anatomy* Collide in This Bonkers … – Glamour
Posted: Published on April 14th, 2017
13 REASONS WHY PHOTO: Beth Dubber/Netflix 13 Reasons Why has been on Netflix for only two weeks, but Reddit's already flooded with fan theories. (It's truthfully astounding fans can even write theories after experiencing the show's gut-wrenching finale. I could barely think after watching the thirteenth episode.) Today's favorite hypothesis connects the Netflix sensation with a show that's been on the air since the Stone Age: Grey's Anatomy. Fans already know the obvious connection between these shows: Kate Walsh (who plays Hannah's mom on 13 Reasons Why) had tenures on both Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice as Dr. Addison Montgomery. But they may not remember the other 13 Reasons Why actor who appeared on Grey's: Dylan Minnette, who plays Clay Jensen. He's the subject of our theory. In a season four episode of Grey's Anatomy, Minnette plays a young kid named Ryan with hearing disabilities. Dr. Mark Sloan (Eric Dane) takes Ryan's case on and builds him a pair of ears that substantially improves his hearing. Now, 10 years later, Minnette stars as Clay Jensen on 13 Reasons Why, a character whose entire storyline is contingent on him listening intently to Hannah's 13 cassette tapes. The connection is obvious to … Continue reading

'Grey's Anatomy' Fans' Sex Theory About the Show's Newest Couple Will Disturb You: Read the Tweets! – Us Weekly
Posted: Published on April 14th, 2017
Step down. Greys Anatomy's Thursday, April 6, episodesuggested a potential romance between Maggie Pierce (Kelly McCreary) and Jackson Avery (Jesse Williams), which seemed cute at first until fans had the shocking realization that the two are in fact step-siblings. Also, let's not forget that plenty of fans will forever be on Team Japril, so Jackson and Maggie potentially taking things to a new level was troubling for a number of reasons. Totally Wrong? During Thursdays episode, Jackson helped Maggie cope with the loss of her mother by showing her photos the dying woman gave him. You and I are kind of like family, he said. While the moment seemed touching and super flirty at first, fans were quick to point out that the two characters really are family, as Richard Webber (James Pickens Jr.)is Maggie's biological father and Jackson's stepdad. Japril Forever Of course, it also goes without saying that many Grey's fans are diehard Japril supporters who were feeling quite optimistic when Jackson and ex April Kepner (Sarah Drew) finally reconnected at a hotel a few episodes ago. The pair have had their relationship tested multiple times and now have a young child together, so plenty of fans want … Continue reading

US claims of Syria nerve gas attack: The anatomy of a lie – World Socialist Web Site
Posted: Published on April 14th, 2017
By Patrick Martin 13 April 2017 The claims by the US government that the Syrian government carried out a chemical weapons attack on the town of Khan Sheikhun, in southern Idlib province on April 4, have been backed by a week of nonstop media propaganda, as well as uncritical support, across the official political spectrum, for the missile strike ordered by President Trump against a Syrian base. The charges against the Syrian government are absurd and unbelievable. The campaign mounted by the Trump administration, the intelligence agencies, the Pentagon and the Democratic Party demonstrates complete contempt for the intelligence of the people, and a belief that they can lie with impunity, because nothing they say will be challenged by the servile American media. No lie is too great. If the US intelligence agencies declared tomorrow that Putin was responsible for an outbreak of tornadoes or a hurricane striking the US Gulf Coast, by means of a secret Russian program to alter the weather, their claims would be presented as the gospel truth by NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN and Fox, while the New York Times would publish a four-page investigative report, complete with maps and charts provided by the CIA. When … Continue reading

Whiteout, Part 2: The anatomy of a ski death | PostIndependent.com – Glenwood Springs Post Independent

Part 2 of a three-part series. Kristine Gustafson wakes up each morning with the same thought: What really happened on Jan. 12, 2017? Late in the afternoon on a chilly but clear powder day, the Centennial resident, her close friend Sean Haberthier and three other skiers were standing at the top of Breckenridge Ski Resort's Peak 8 Contest Bowl. They stopped to take a break and appreciate the near-perfect conditions they had marked with fresh tracks the whole day. They all agreed to meet at the bottom of the E Chair before a final run to the base. Always the first one down, Haberthier was a conspicuous no-show, an instant red flag to the group. Calls to his cellphone went unanswered, and his friends began to worry. I feel we do a good job investigating accidental deaths and doing a comprehensive investigation, taking it all in and asking all the questions. Were not here to do autopsies for medical curiosity.Regan WoodSummit County coroner The 47-year-old lived to ski, for years making the 5 a.m. drive up to Summit or Vail from Denver most days during the winter to pursue his passion. It was not out of the ordinary for Haberthier … Continue reading

Posted: Published on April 12th, 2017
'This is the heart of the allegations, and they are false' By Daniel DeMay, SeattlePI Seattle Mayor Ed Murray's attorney said Tuesday that a recent medical exam contradicts claims made about the mayor's anatomy by a man who says Murray sexually abused him as a boy. Responding to a detailed description offered in the sex abuse lawsuit, Murray's personal attorney Robert Sulkin said Tuesday that a doctor examined Murray and found no evidence of the mole described as being on his scrotum in the lawsuit. Sulkin said the doctor's report also found no evidence that any mole was removed from the area. "This is game changing," Sulkin said. "This is the heart of the allegations, and they are false. ... "If you think about it, the accuser provided false information to his own lawyers. ... The case should be dropped."
