Four Boston College graduates discussed the role of health care workers during the COVID-19 pandemic with hosts Joyce Edmonds, a professor in the Connell School of Nursing, and Brian Gareau, dean of the Core Curriculum, on BCs virtual Show @ 6 on Tuesday. The show began with a discussion of the graduates personal experiences working on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic. Older age, male sex, obesity, and underlying illness have emerged as risk factors for UK patients experiencing severe Covid-19 and in some cases dying, according to researchers.
