The Louisiana Legislature on Thursday gave final approval to a bill that revamps state policies after the families of special needs children were unable to see their children for months because of the coronavirus pandemic. Cody Lee and his 3-year-old dog Batman had never taken part in a Cow Dog Trial competition before, but that didnt stop the pair from taking first place and winning the Novice Champion Buckle Oct. 18. Cody Lee is wheelchair bound due to cerebral palsy, so his older brother Jared Lee served as wheelchair pilot and partner in the competition when the two traveled to the first edition of the American Ranch Dog Trial held at NRS Ranch in Decatur, Texas last Sunday. PROCTOR The Reinbow Riding Center in Shrewsbury had to cancel its usual operations this year because of the pandemic, but on Thursday students at Proctor Elementary School got to meet Cutie, and learn a little about life around the barn.
