I See Stars have supposedly been kicked off of "The Thug In Me Is You Tour" by Falling In Reverse vocalist Ronnie Radke. Radke, who has a history of trouble says the band was ejected for using drugs and being unprofessional. I See Stars has refuted this claim per their Facebook page. LONDON (Reuters) - Two new drugs for skin cancer have been recommended for use on Britain's state-run health service after the rival manufacturers - Roche and Bristol-Myers Squibb - agreed to cut their prices. The move underscores the growing pressure on drug companies to cut deals with austerity-hit European governments in order to prove their expensive new medicines offer value for money. The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) said on Friday it had issued final draft guidance recommending both Roche's Zelboraf and Bristol's Yervoy after the companies offered undisclosed discounts. NICE, which determines if products should be used by the National Health Service (NHS), had initially rejected both medicines, despite acknowledging that they represented a breakthrough in treating melanoma. The list price for Zelboraf, which is only suitable for patients with a particular genetic profile, is 52,500 pounds ($84,600) for an average treatment span of seven months. The price of a four-dose course of Yervoy, which is recommended only for people who have received prior chemotherapy, is 75,000 pounds. Drugs courier Justin Cook made trips across the Pennines 8:19am Friday 2nd November 2012 in News By Megi Rychlikova, megi.rychlikova@thepress.co.uk A DRUGS courier has been jailed after he was stopped on the outskirts of York with cocaine and cannabis worth thousands of pounds in his car. Justin Cook was part of a supply chain delivering cocaine across the Pennines to North Yorkshire, York Crown Court heard. Christopher Attwooll, prosecuting, said Cook initially pretended he knew nothing of the 28.2g of cocaine a specially-trained police dog found in the back pocket of the front passenger seat, or the 13.5g cocaine found in the back of the drivers seat, when he was stopped on the A64 at Stockton-on-the-Forest in February last year. Both caches had a high level of purity. Together with 248g of herbal cannabis, which he immediately handed over to police, the drugs were worth up to 8,040 if the cocaine was split up, mixed with other substances and sold as street deals. Hamilton's Police commander is crediting a combination of officers following their instincts backed up with new, more effective legislation for the arrest of a man and the recovery of an assault rifle and drugs during a routine traffic stop overnight. Inspector Greg Nicholls said the car was the subject of a routine traffic stop after officers became concerned about the driving of a man travelling west on Norton Rd about 10.30pm. "The car was pulled over on Rua St and the 35-year-old driver spoken to. "A subsequent search under the recently introduced Search and Surveillance Act resulted in the recovery of two containers of what is believed to be methamphetamine, a bag of yet to be identified pills, some scales and some chemicals." DeNoon WebMD Health News Reviewed by Louise Chang, MD Nov. 1, 2012 -- Two more drugs made by the New England Compounding Center (NECC) are crawling with various kinds of bacteria, FDA tests reveal. The NECC is the Massachusetts compounding pharmacy whose drugs are the likely source of the ongoing outbreak of fungal meningitis. The FDA previously found fungus growing in unopened vials of the company's methylprednisolone injectable steroid. Now the FDA has found bacteria in three lots of the NECC's betamethasone, another injectable steroid, and in cardioplegia solution, a drug used to stop the heart during transplant operations. It's not yet clear whether the drugs also carry fungal contamination or other kinds of bacteria. Tests of each lot of the drugs found a different combination of bacteria: Two of these bacteria -- Bacillus idriensis and Bacillus circulans -- have been linked to rare cases of human disease. The FDA says that for patients treated with these drugs, "the clinical significance of these results is not known." All NECC drugs were recalled on Oct. 6.
