HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) Toxicology tests on the body of the Newtown school shooter did not turn up any alcohol, illegal drugs or prescription medications, an official close to the investigation said Tuesday. Adam Lanza, 20, fatally shot 20 first-graders and six educators at Sandy Hook Elementary School on Dec. 14 before killing himself as police arrived. He also killed his mother at their Newtown home before going to the school. The official said the toxicology tests were completed about five weeks ago and the results were turned over to Danbury State's Attorney Stephen Sedensky III, who is leading the investigation. The official, who was not authorized to publicly disclose the information and spoke on condition of anonymity, also said at least some victims' relatives were notified of the test results. Toxicology tests check for a wide variety of over-the-counter medicines, prescription medications and illegal drugs. In Lanza's case, a separate test was performed for marijuana, which usually isn't part of toxicological reviews, and came back negative, the official said. That bullish sales forecast by analysts at U.S. bank Citigroup highlights the growing excitement surrounding so-called immunotherapy after positive results from clinical trials conducted by companies such as Bristol-Myers Squibb and Roche Holding. "We believe this market will generate sales of up to $35 billion (a year) over the next 10 years and be used in some way in the management of up to 60 percent of all cancers," Citi analyst Andrew Baum said on Wednesday. Citi's forecast is considerably higher than current market consensus, but if it proves correct, then cancer immunotherapy would exceed the peak market value of top blockbuster drug classes such as statins for high cholesterol. After years of puzzling over how to get the body's immune system to respond more effectively against tumor cells, scientists are now finding a number of promising avenues. Drugs and cars with a combined value of more than 450,000 (525,000) have been seized in Co Down by detectives investigating a suspected organised crime gang. Cannabis plants worth over 350,000 (408,000) were recovered from a concealed cultivation factory in Ballyward near Castlewellan. Seven vehicles valued at upwards of 100,000, among them a number of top of the range models, were also seized. Seven men and one woman from Northern Ireland were arrested in yesterday's raids. Five men remained in custody today while the other three suspects have been released on bail. PSNI chief superintendent Roy McComb said the growing operation had been running for a number of months. "This had a high level of sophistication," he said. "It had been set up with electricity, with water facilities, with ventilation, there was an effort to disguise the location of it." He added: "I believe this crime gang was involved in distributing this cannabis around Northern Ireland.
