Parkinson’s Disease Natural Treatment and Remedies in 5 …

Parkinsons disease is a degenerative illness of the nervous system that results in loss of intentional movement and impaired motor functioning. Parkinsons disease symptoms affects smooth, natural movements of the body, and can make it hard to perform everyday tasks like speaking properly, walking, swallowing and sleeping. With Parkinsons, the area of the brain that controls muscular movements receives less dopamine than usual. Dopamine is an important chemical necessary for not only coordinating proper body movements, but also things like learning, increasing motivation and regulating moods. This is one reason why depression and other mood changes often affect those with Parkinsons. What causes Parkinsons, and is it curable? There is no specific known cause, but some aggravating factors include exposure to certain chemicals and toxic water, plus inflammation of the brain. While there is no cure for Parkinsons (the condition is both chronic and progressive), there are medications available to boost dopamine in the brain and help manage symptoms. (1) A 2016 study by researchers at the University of Saskatchewan also found a possible way to stop the progression of Parkinsons. Researchers created caffeine-based chemical compounds which also contained nicotine, metformin and aminoindan that prevented the misfolding of alpha-synuclein, a protein … Continue reading

End Stages of Parkinsons Disease Patient Doctor Ring
Posted: Published on September 24th, 2018
In most newly diagnosed Parkinsons patients, the anxiety revolves around the effect that the disease will have on daily functioning. However it should be noted that most Parkinsons patients can quite comfortably manage with daily activities although there may be some level of difficulty. The symptoms in the initial stages of Parkinsons disease may be mild, but in the last two stages of the disease or the end stages, the symptoms become such that the person becomes totally unable to function without help. In this stage, the main difficulty is in maintaining balance and posture, so patients need assistance while standing and walking. Increase in tremor, rigidity (increased tone) and bradykinesia (slowness of movement) as the disease progresses make the performance of routine tasks difficult without help. Falls tend to occur more often. The patient is mobile at this stage but needs help to carry on with their daily tasks. At this stage of the disease, the patient is unable to stand or walk and constant nursing care is needed as they cannot function independently. A number of patients also suffer from dementia, depression or hallucinations, which further aggravates the situation. The end stages of Parkinsons disease can be extremely … Continue reading

Treatment for Inflammatory Bowel Disease May Reduce Risk …
Posted: Published on June 28th, 2018
A new study adds to growing evidence linking Parkinson's disease (PD) with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Researchers at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City found people with IBD are at a 28 percent higher risk of developing PD than those without IBD. The study, published in JAMA Neurology, also suggests taking a common IBD treatment known as anti-Tumor Necrosis Factor (anti-TNF) may reduce the risk of Parkinson's. IBD patients who received anti-TNF therapy were 78 percent less likely to develop PD compared with patients who didn't receive the treatment. Anti-TNF therapy blocks a protein that promotes inflammation. While the exact way in which PD develops among people with IBD is still unknown, PD is associated with inflammation and digestion problems. Some studies have suggested that PD may involve inflammation that begins in the intestine decades before progressing to the central nervous system. The new study's insights will allow for better screening for IBD patients for PD, since the onset of IBD usually begins decades before PD develops, the researchers wrote. The study, which included data from 144,018 people with IBD and 720,090 people without the disease, also offers evidence to support exploring anti-TNF therapy … Continue reading

Research Fact 1*: "A clinical comparison of Mucuna pruriens (available in our kit) and synthetic Levodopa- a conventional drug used to treat Parkinson's, showed Mucuna exhibiting significantly better anti-parkinsonian effects and behavioural benefits with no side effects in the patients." 1 *Individual results may vary from individual to individual, as is seen in all clinical trials. Despite this peer reviewed scientific research these herbs and homeopathies may or may not have been approved by the FDA in every single country as a treatment or cure for Parkinsons disease yet. Hence one is advised to see a Doctor licensed in their city and state and we may only advertise our product in such countries for Brain and Nerve Health presently. New treatment for Parkinsons disease – Hospital News
Posted: Published on May 17th, 2018
This fall, the Montreal Neurological Institute and Hospital (The Neuro, at McGill University and the McGill University Health Centre) expects to introduce a previously unavailable form of treatment for Parkinsons disease patients. Although the treatment will be limited to patients who fulfill specific criteria, the treatment has been shown to be effective in Europe, where it has been available for more than a decade. The treatment involves administering the drug Duodopa (a combination of levodopa and carbidopa) directly into the patients small intestine via the stomach through a tube. The drugs dosage is controlled by a mini-pump weighing about half a kilogram that the patient wears at the waist. The body transforms levodopa to dopamine to increase the amount of dopamine in the brain. Parkinsons disease symptoms are linked to dopamine levels. Carbidopa helps to guide levodopa to the brain and also helps to avoid stomach upset and other undesirable side effects of levodopa. MORE: RESEARCH MAY LEAD TO FASTER DIAGNOSIS OF PTSD The benefit of the Duodopa treatment is that the patient gets the drug continuously and so avoids the kinds of fluctuations that can come when drugs are taken orally at intervals during the day. Some patients have … Continue reading
