Following member feedback and discussions with the Pharmaceutical Society (the Society), the Pharmacy Guild of New Zealand (the Guild) will not progress with the development of its own Continuing Professional Development (CPD) recertification programme at this time and instead, is endorsing the programme, ENHANCE 2.0, being developed by the Society. The Guild is committed to ensuring that a quality CPD recertification programme is available to its members, recognising that the platform for such a programme must meet the needs of todays pharmacists. Guild Board members have reviewed the programme offered by the Society and believe that it addresses the historical concerns members had with the programme under the previous framework. "This decision follows feedback from members and the Boards consideration of the detailed business case for the development of the Guilds own CPD recertification programme. The Board believes that the development of a duplicate programme is not the best use of Guild member funds given the quality of the programme being developed by the Society", said Guild President, Karen Crisp.
