It is estimated that 1 in 400 babies born in the UK have a type of cerebral palsy.Figures indicate that with the birth rate in excess of 700,000 per year there may be as many a 1800 new cases of cerebral palsy in children each year.

Taking into account family, friends and others involved in supporting those with cerebral palsy it becomes apparent how these conditions affect many thousands of lives not just in the UK but around the world.

There are many organisations and charities which support children and adults with cerebral palsy and the dedication shown by these people, many who provide their time for free, is indicative of the people you will meet along the way.

CerebralPalsy.org.ukprovides support by offering impartial information on a broad range of subjects that people affected by CP should find useful. As you navigate the site you will find tips, guides and advice available to aid those who are impacted by the conditionYou may be lookingmobility aids such as stair lifts? or perhaps seeking toys to engage a child we can support you with your search.

Mobility may be an issue for a child or an adult with CP. If you are thinking of buying a powerchair we have information that might interest you.

If your child has recently been diagnosed with cerebral palsy you may find it difficult to come to terms,we do not give medical advice but hope by providing you with information in an easilydigestibleformat you can gain comfort and feel supported particularly when you need it most.

A feature we have recently developedis video diary. This is a great way to let the world know how CP affects you and your family and how you deal with it. Video is a superb medium to help fund raising activities and help provide expensive medical treatment or mobility equipment.

We are here to support and assist you in anyway we can and your feedback is important in order we can continue.

Enough about us it's about you and your real life experience , please let us know how you come to terms with things and how your life has been affected, your story might be the catalyst to make a difference to you and someone else.
