MALAYSIAS first Chinese morning talk show, Good Morning Tai Tai, recently unveiled a new addition to its line-up of energetic hosts. Freshly recruited but seasoned TV personality Chiong Pei Pei is the sixth co-host of this hour-long daily breakfast show.

Im so glad to be back doing what Ive always loved after a three-year hiatus. Although this is a new challenge for me, Im not nervous. Im just excited, says Chiong.

ADDING FLAVOUR ntv7 brand management group manager Lai Cheah Yee says that Chiong is no ordinary TV host. She is a much celebrated and respected individual both on and off camera, one of the countrys most prominent Chinese TV personalities with much recognition from the entertainment industry.

Lai adds: The team is thrilled to have Chiong on the show, bringing her own flavour to a morning talk show. With her knowledge and insight and lively personality, we are confident Chiong will engage viewers and bring freshness to the show.

Chiong, who is from Chukai in Terengganu, has 20 years of experience in broadcasting. A former DJ with Ai FM, she has hosted many shows on TV2 and ntv7 over the years, including cookery shows and popular talk show Mars Versus Venus on ntv7 with William San.

Another exciting experience was the ntv7 game show, Mandarin Battle Star, she says.

Next July and August, she will be involved in a charity show in Indonesia and Thailand. Its always exciting to be working with new people. Im definitely looking forward to partner with all five of my co-hosts. I know some of them and weve got great chemistry together.

CLOSE TO OUR HEARTS Good Morning Tai Tai is Chiongs first breakfast show, and she shares hosting duties with Tiang Kah Chee (ntv7s new presenter), Jan Chin (ntv7s top drama personality and host of the talk show, Womens Zone), Hoon Mei Sim (One FM radio announcer and singer), Seah Song Fan (actor and singer) and Goh Wee Ping, who is making a return as host after six years.

Chin, who is from Kulai, Johor recently earned a nod at the Golden Awards for her work on Womens Zone (which she has hosted for a year).

The show has been nominated for the Best Magazine award in the coming Golden Awards, together with a travel show she hosts, Listen To The World.
