Climbing a mountain - for the love of brother Jack

THE sister of a boy born with cerebral palsy who died, aged nine, is to climb Mount Snowdon in his memory.

Hannah Shears and a group of friends want to raise 1,000 for Colchester General Hospitals childrens ward, where brother Jack received treatment.

Jack, of Park Square West, Clacton, was born with quad cerebral palsy.

It affected his whole body and left him unable to walk or talk.

In the two years before he died in January, Jack suffered a series of complications and was a frequent visitor to the childrens ward.

On Saturday, April 26, Hannah will join a group of eight friends to travel to Wales and climb its highest peak for the Colchester Hospitals Charity.

Hannah, 20, said: Jacks sunny and cheeky personality, combined with his huge smile and blue eyes, easily won over anyone who came into contact with him.
