As she prepares for the future ahead of her, Ashley Cronin utilizes immense perseverance and determination to guarantee success. An active member of various extracurriculars and a standout student, she strives to achieve her goals on a daily basis.

Regarding academics, Ashley has taken on many rigorous classes throughout high school. Some include AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Statistics, Honors Biotechnology, and Honors American Lit. She is also in the TMHS Nursing Assistant Certification class. Her favorite class proved to be AP Biology.

It was a lot of work, she states. But I found out the biology was my passion.

In terms of extracurriculars, Ashley is on the yearbook staff, National Honor Society, and is a founding member and Co-President of the Red Cross Club. She also used to run track and cross country.

Last year, Ashley and a few other students were inspired to start the Red Cross Club in order to provide a club and resource for students with an interest in the medical field.

There was already a club geared towards community service here at TMHS, she stated. But there wasnt anything really for kids leaning towards the medical field, and since Im also interested in that, I wanted to make it happen.

Students participate in blood drives amongst many other community service projects such as making Christmas cards for veterans, and running charity drives for the House of Hope and Lowell General.

In their first year, the club was vastly successful, gaining over 60 members. Their success continues today, as the club has continued involvement from much of the student body. As Co-President, Ashley is primarily in charge of organization and communication amongst club members and the various charities they work with.

When she has free time, Ashley enjoys a variety of activities. Some include running, playing the ukelele, reading, and skiing. Her favorite activity is skiing.

Looking towards the future, Ashley hopes to attend college to pursue an undergraduate degree in biology, with hopes of later studying medicine. She has applied to schools such as Boston University, Brandeis, Northeastern, Saint Anselm, Quinnipiac, Stonehill, and Emmanuel.

Regarding her vast accomplishments, Ashley credits the support of her family for enabling her to succeed. She also credits TMHS biology teacher, Shelly Galusha, for allowing her passion for biology to flourish.

She helped me find my passion for science, she reflected. She was always so supportive, and she acted like a second mom to me.
