The Department of Bioengineering at the University of Texas at Arlington recently began welcoming incoming exemplary freshman to earn their Bachelor of Science degrees in Bioengineering. This new Undergraduate program is an exciting prospect for our department, adding to the Master and Doctoral degrees currently offered.

Today, both graduate and undergraduate students as well as faculty in the Bioengineering Department enjoy an association with the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas (UTSW), one of the top medical schools in the nation, located only 22 miles (35 minutes) away from the UTA campus. Students can take engineering and life science courses at UTA or UTSW; conducting research in laboratories located on either campus. Graduates of the program receive a diploma bearing the seals of both UTA and UTSW.
