FAIR LAWN -- DNA evidence linked a Haledon man to a July home break-in, police said.

Fair Lawn police arrested Clarence Goodman, 53, on March 17.

He was charged with robbery and theft and sent to Bergen County Jail on $50,000 bail.

A resident of a 1st Street home woke up on July 22, 2014 to find a man going through a drawer, Sgt. Brian Metzler said. The resident tried to stop the man but was pushed aside as he fled.

A $90 cell phone was taken. DNA evidence found at the scene tied Goodman to the crime, Metzler said.
