After forcing their way into the premises they were met by 21-year-old Ertan Aziz, who immediately admitted that any drugs at the premises belonged to him, Ipswich Crown Court was told.

Aziz, of Constable Close, Halesworth, admitted possessing cannabis with intent to supply and possessing ketamine and was given a 12-month prison sentence suspended for two years. He was also ordered to do 150 hours unpaid work in the community.

Also before the court was Shane Beckett, 21, of The Street, Bramfield, who admitted possessing cocaine and ecstasy. He was given a 12-month community order during which he will have to attend a Thinking Skills Programme and be under the supervision of the probation service for 12 months.

Raj Joshi, prosecuting, said the drugs raid took place at the home address of Aziz on April 19. After searching the house officers had gone into a garage and found Becketts DNA on plastic bags containing drugs in a Peugeot car.

After his arrrest, Beckett told officers he had sold the Peugeot and while he was clearing his belongings out of the car he had touched the plastic bags and had then replaced them.

Jude Durr, for Aziz, said he had committed the offences to pay a debt.
