A woman arrested with two others and a convicted drug dealer in a Canton house last week was found with illegal drugs under her jail mattress.

Heather Tenney, 25, of 1630 Cleveland Ave. NW, was charged at 1:17 p.m. Wednesday at the Stark County Jail with illegal conveyance of drugs into a detention facility, a third-degree felony, jail records said.

Officers found an undisclosed number of Xanax pills under her mattress, the jail records said.

Tenney was already in the jail being held on felony drug tampering and other drug-related charges.

Canton police called to a report of trouble at 712 Greenfield Ave. SW on Jan. 22 arrested her and three other people on drug charges after seizing prescription pills, crack cocaine pipes and other drug paraphernalia.

Tenney and the other women were already wanted on misdemeanor warrants. Tenney had been wanted on charges of obstructing official business, possession of drug abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia possession.

She remained in the jail early Thursday, held in lieu of more than $100,000 bond.
