Drugs, gun seized from 2 drug dealers

District police chief Assistant Commissioner Abdul Aziz Salleh said a .38 revolver, and the drugs confiscated from one of them were 1040 Eramin 5 pills and 180.3g of heroin.

In the 12.20am operation, the suspect who has been on police wanted list for two years, was fast asleep at his house in Kampung Tenggala here.

"He is believed to be involved in armed robbery and auto theft," Aziz said, adding that a plastic pack containing numbers and alphabets, believed to be used for fake plates, a digital scale, a handphone, an iron knuckle, and six live bullets in a container were found.

"Police also recovered a Proton Gen 2 stolen in Air Tawar, Penang last year and a green smoke bomb," he said.

The suspect is remanded and the case is investigated under Section 39B and 39A of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 which carries the mandatory death sentence.

"He will also be charged for illegal arms,"

Meanwhile, the other drug peddler aged 25 was detained with 2,200 amphetamine pills worth RM24,000 in his car near Kampung Paya Siput Batu 11 here earlier at 11.30pm.
