Sydney police have charged an outlaw motorcycle gang associate after the discovery of firearms and a clandestine laboratory at a house in St Marys, in the western suburbs.

They say that officers attached to Operation Apollo, formed to investigate and target gun crime across Sydney, went to a house in Collins Street, St Marys.

'At the premises police conducted a search warrant seizing a replica revolver, a replica rifle, a sawn-off shotgun, a loaded sawn-off rifle and a stolen motorcycle,' police said in a statement.

'An amount of chemicals and equipment used in the manufacturing of prohibited drugs was located inside the home as well as a quantity of powder believed to be methamphetamine.

'A 24-year-old man, who police will allege is an associate of the Lone Wolf Outlaw Motorcycle Gang, was arrested and taken to St Marys Police Station.

'He was charged with 10 offences including the aggravated unauthorised possession of firearms, not keeping firearms safely, possession of prohibited drugs and knowingly deal with the proceeds of crime.

Officers from the State Crime Command's Chemical Operations Unit and Strike Force Raptor are continuing enquiries and further charges are expected.
