Enaltus, a company devoted to providing specialty skincare solutions adhering to the highest safety standards, recently donated $20,000 to the Aesthetic Surgery Education and Research Foundation (ASERF), the philanthropic arm of The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS). These funds will help enable ASERF to achieve its goals in 2014 including the pursuit of research in key areas and establishing a comprehensive Data Hub. The Hub will provide practitioners with a forum in which to input information about specific surgical procedures to determine trends, examine complications and determine best practices that will benefit ASAPS members, patients and the specialty as a whole.

We owe a great deal of gratitude to Enaltus for its donation to ASERF. Enaltus has always been a staunch supporter of industry research not only for their own purposes, but for the entire aesthetic industry, Al Aly, MD, the new president of ASERF stated. The funds will be applied to the ongoing research in the areas of the impact on ASMS on Biofilms around breast implants, clinical adipose stem cell banking, Adipose Derived Stromal Cell (ADSC) injections for pain management in osteoarthritis of the human knee, and a retrospective study on pulmonary embolism. In addition, ASERF will establish a committee to examine the concepts of attractiveness and the quantification of aesthetic surgery results, which will revolutionize the aesthetic surgical field.

Zubin Meshginpoosh, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Enaltus, a Premier Partner of ASAPS stated, We have long-since believed that ongoing research is a necessity to ensure that we are providing the best possible product to our clients when it comes to safety and efficacy, which is why we are thrilled to be in a position to support ASERFs research as a non-profit organization whose ideals and goals mirror our own.
