Dr. Renato Saltz, former president of the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), recently attended and spoke at this year's ASAPS conference in San Francisco, California. Held at the end of April, the event boasted some of the finest surgeons and experts in the field of plastic surgery, including Dr. Saltz. Featuring live demonstrations, hands-on cadaver workshops and interactive seminars, The Aesthetic Meeting 2014 drew an audience of students, residents, nurses and surgeons in the fields of cosmetic and plastic surgery from around the world.

The Aesthetics Meeting is one of the largest conferences of its kind. Held annually by ASAPS and the Aesthetic Surgery Education and Research Foundation, the meeting calls upon leading experts in the field, like Dr. Saltz, to share knowledge and expertise to help fellow surgeons and nurses stay at the top of their craft. Ultimately, the goal is to improve patient safety and enhance practices around the world.

Dr. Saltz had the pleasure of leading an interactive scientific session regarding cryolipolysis treatment, a revolutionary, non-surgical weight-loss method more commonly referred to as CoolSculpting. In addition, he participated in a symposium on CoolSculpting. Dr. Saltz is internationally recognized for his work with CoolSculpting, helping to improve clinical outcomes to ensure commercial success.

The Aesthetics Meeting 2014 is unique to other aesthetic surgery conferences, offering surgeons with the opportunity to earn continuing medical education (CME) credits. Dr. Saltz headed an educational opportunity at the meeting on lipoabdominoplasty and body contouring, which are procedures of particular interest to him.

Also unique to the Aesthetics Meeting, Dr. Saltz led a cadaver workshop on endoscopic technique in the forehead and mid-face. Surgeons who took part in this seminar also had the ability to earn CME credits. CME credits are required by many states and nations worldwide.

Dr. Saltz run his practice, Saltz Plastic Surgery, in Utah. His practice has locations in both Salt Lake City, UT, and Park City, UT. He and his experienced staff offer a wide range of plastic and reconstructive surgical options, as well as non-invasive treatments.
