Hundreds of Israeli civilians who survived the Hamas terror attacks on October 7 are receiving cutting edge oxygen therapy to help them cope with the horror they experienced.

Survivors of the Nova festival massacre are among the many patients who are being treated with dedicated hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) for their post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Hyperbaric medicine, which sees patients treated in a pressure chamber with a 100 per cent O2 atmosphere, is already used for a range of conditions, such as carbon monoxide poisoning, gangrene and healing stubborn wounds.

Doctors say that severe trauma can cause biological damage to the brain and that an increased oxygen supply can help the generation of new blood vessels and neurons
