After more allegations came out against the culture of the Washington Football Team, this time directly implicating owner Daniel Snyder, he was quick to respond and refute much of what had been said.

As Chris Lingebach of 106.7 The Fan writes, the beginning of Snyder's statement reads much like "any sensible corporate response to a crisis," though the third paragraph is where he changes his tone from remorseful to defensive.

"We are disappointed that Ms. Scourby would speak to the newspaper but never bring any of these allegations to managements attention, particularly since she is still part of our organization as a volunteer with our cheerleaders," Snyder said in his statement. "I want to unequivocally state that this never happened. Ms. Scourby did not report this alleged incident to anyone at the team in 2004, in her 8 years as a cheerleader, or at any time in the past 16 years."

One person who isn't happy with Snyder's statement and the subsequent response from the NFL is "Swings and Mrs" co-host Jenn Sterger.

Sterger responded both on Twitter and on the latest episode of "Swings and Mrs" -- see the whole video above.

"This is incredibly problematic," Sterger said. "If we speak out and report it we are punished. If we do nothing, we are punished. What do you suggest women do in this scenario?"

She went on to express how she doesn't feel as though HR is there to protect the victim, but instead cares more about protecting the company.

The problem is larger than just this incident with the Washington Football Team and Daniel Snyder, however, as Sterger takes exception to how the league has treated women during other incidents and as a whole.

Sterger went on to explain her own experiences dealing with the league's procedures during a 2010 incident involving then-Jets quarterback Brett Favre.

But Sterger explained that her story is just one of several wound into a narrative that has taken over the NFL.

"It is so frustrating to me that the narrative out there is still (that) women shouldn't be around sports," Sterger said. "Because that is the most misogynistic, backwards thinking humanly possible. Sports need women. They need women as fans. Why is their money good enough for you, but you can't protect them? I fully believe that if the Ray Rice elevator video had never come out, the NFL would still not give a s*** about what happens to women.

"...It just shows me that Roger Goodell learned absolutely nothing in sitting down and dealing with me, or this stuff wouldn't be happening."

After learning of the news that Goodell was continuing the internal investigation carried out by Snyder's lawyer, Beth Wilkinson, instead of launching a new one, Sterger responded.

According to Liz Clarke and Beth Reinhard of The Washington Post, the lawyers who represent several of the team's former employees who allege they were sexually harassed have asked Goodell to launch an independent investigation.
