Large amount of drugs seized in East Perth

A large quantity of drugs reportedly worth $2 million have been seized during a raid on an East Perth unit and two cars parked at the property.

Police said it would be alleged that almost 4kg of powder, believed to be methylamphetamine, was found in one of the vehicles.

A further 197 grams of the powder was discovered stashed throughout the unit while a woman at the property had eight grams of it in her clothing.

Steroids were also found along with replica firearms, ammunition, smoking implements, cash and several items that can be used to sell drugs.

A 40-year-old man and a 42-year-old woman face a string of charges in relation to the seized items, while a 27-year-old man will be summonsed in relation substances, believed to be steroids and methylamphetamine, that were found in the second vehicle.

During the raid, detectives also found another 27-year-old man who had an outstanding bench warrant, and he was taken into custody.
