Jeffery Watson graduated in 1989 from University of San Francisco with a degree in Microbiology. He began his career in the FDA as a Microbiologist and Consumer Safety Officer in which he specialized in sterility and endotoxin analysis on drugs and devices. He has authored the San Francisco District Office Microbiology Laboratory's Clearn Room SOP and co-authored the Department of Health and Human Services, Public Health Service, FDA Sterility Analytical Manual.

Watson has spent the last 23 years with the United States Food and Drug Administration, most notably as Consumer Safety Officer in San Francisco, in charge of sterile and non-sterile dosage forms of therapeutic biologics and pharmaceutical dosage forms. More significantly, he is the first San Francisco District Level III Pharmaceutical Inspectorate/PI certified by the US FDA, indicating advanced specialized experience and specific training in evaluating pharmaceutical manufacturing.
