Light of Day: Tickets go on sale this week for main 2022 concert – njarts.net

The 2022 Light of Day Festival takes place in January.

As previously announced, 2022s Bobs Birthday Bash, the main concert of the Light of Day WinterFest, will take place at the Count Basie Center for the Arts in Red Bank on Fri., Jan. 14. It also has been announced, now, that tickets for that show will go on sale Dec. 3 at 10 a.m., with pre-sales beginning Nov. 30 at 10 a.m., via ticketmaster.com as well as the Basie box office.

Tickets and packages with various extras will range in price from $55 to $405. For information and updates, visit LightofDay.org.

Though the main concert is taking place in Red Bank, most of the 2022 shows will take place, as usual, in Asbury Park. There will also be shows at the Outpost in the Burbs in Montclair, as well as in Manhattan and Rockland County.

Proceeds will raise money and awareness for the battle against Parkinsons disease and related illnesses ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) and PSP (progressive supranuclear palsy).

Bobs Birthday Bash honors Light of Day Foundation founder Bob Benjamin. Im looking forward to Light of Days return to a vibrant Jersey scene, said Benjamin in a press release. The shows will heat up the cold, winter nights in Asbury Park, Red Bank, Montclair, Rockland County and New York City with hot live music. The January shows will be our 22nd year of fighting Parkinsons with music and will also mark 22 years of celebrating my birthday with a concert.

Light of Day has raised about $6 million for its cause over those years.

We are overjoyed that after the trials and tribulations of the last two years were able to once again utilize the awesome power of live music to raise money and awareness in our 22 year battle to defeat Parkinsons, ALS and PSP in our lifetime, said Light of Day Foundation executive director Tony Pallagrosi, in the press release. We are so very grateful for the support that the Light Of Day Foundation has received throughout the years and we hope to see you all, old and new, and YES, LIVE AND IN PERSON, at WinterFest.

The return of Light of Day WinterFest is a tangible step in the right direction of getting life closer to normal and getting the LOD Foundation back to our yearly endeavors of raising funds and awareness in our fights against Parkinsons, PSP and ALS, said Light of Day Foundation board president Joe DUrso.

No artists have been announced yet, for any 2022 Light of Day shows. Bruce Springsteen has made unbilled appearances at some but not all past Light of Day festivals.
