Living with Gynaecological Cancer A resource for Women and their families living with the impact of gynaecological cancer. Part 3.2 - Fertility, Menopause and Sexual Issue - Premature Menopause Along with fertility issues, premature menopause is a significant problem for women treated for gynaecological cancers, where the ovaries are damaged or removed. There are treatments which can assist women with symptom relief, including hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and oestrogen creams, but this will depend on the type of cancer experienced.
