A local teen battling cancer has shared some great news.

Lorelei Decker who has been battling refractory Hodgkin's lymphoma is now in remission.

Decker, a Putnam City North High School graduate, was granted a wish through the Make-A-Wish Foundation last year. She got to coach the Oklahoma City Thunder basketball team for a day.

Decker had a stem cell transplant earlier this year and was scheduled to stay at M.D. Anderson for 100 days. However, doctors discharged her almost one month early so she could be at home to welcome her brother back from Afghanistan.

She will continue going to Houston once a week for check-ups, but she tells KOCO 5's Rachel Calderon that she will enroll at Oklahoma State University in January and is anticipating getting married in the future.

Stay with KOCO 5 to hear from Decker later this week.
