Our life and work are akin to biology. Just as our body needs to take in oxygen, drink water, and ingest food to sustain life, our personal and professional lives are really no different.

There are critical elements that are needed to sustain and enhance the quality of our life experience. Just as important is our bodys need to eliminate what is no longer useful, for if we dont, we become toxic which leads to systems failure and ultimately death. In life, we need to ingest, digest what we need, then eliminate what no longer serves us.

Imagine yourself surrounded by a big bubble of white light of which only you can see. You will travel through the rest of your life in this bubble. Truth is, you have been traveling in it all along. With that being the case, you must gain clarity of what you want in that bubble you dont already have, what you want to keep in your bubble that already supports you, and what you want to take out of your bubble that no longer serves you or is hurting you.

Consider this when thinking about what to keep and what to purge. Our beliefs about ourselves, and the world around us are like oxygen to the body. They permeate all throughout and affect our every decision and action. Our body can only exist for a short time without oxygen.

If what we breath is clean and pure, we are in good shape. If polluted or contaminated, not so good. Our habits and patterns are like water. They are vital building blocks to our progress and set a foundation on which to build. Things and relationships are like food to the body. They provide the nutrientsthat which we need to function on many levels, and also, hopefully, an enjoyable experience.

Below are key areas to help you take inventory and adjust accordingly to attract and maintain the life and business you desire:

Oxygen:

Beliefs about self that serve me and I will keep:

Beliefs about self that hurt me and I will adjust or eliminate:

Beliefs about the world that serve me and I will keep:

Beliefs about the world that hurt/scare me and I will adjust or eliminate:

Water:

Habits that are serving me and/or will get me to where I want to be:

Habits that keep me from having what I want or making the progress I seek:

Patterns/Rituals that inspire me and carry me forward:

Patterns/Rituals that expire me and keep me stuck:

Food:

Things I tolerate in my environment that drain my energy:

Things I appreciate in my environment that give me energy:

Things I dont yet have that I imagine will bring me joy:

Relationships I tolerate in my life that drain my energy:

Relationships I appreciate that contribute to my joy, productivity and wellbeing:

Relationships I want to experience:

Devote some time to assess your life and work in the three sections using the lists above. Then take one focus from each section this week and create your plan to affect it favorably.

Make it up, make it fun, and get it done!
